Widely used in chemical synthesis, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and power plant flue gas desulfurization (FGD) projects, this equipment realizes efficient concentration, crystallization, and recovery of ammonium sulfate. Working Principle 

  1. Feed Preprocessing: Ammonium sulfate wastewater is pre-filtered to remove suspended solids and impurities, adjusted to an appropriate pH (typically 5-7) to prevent corrosion and optimize crystal growth, then enters the feed tank.

  2. Forced Circulation: The pre-treated wastewater is pumped into the heating chamber by a high-pressure, anti-clogging circulation pump, forming a high-speed turbulent flow in the titanium or 316L stainless steel heating tubes. This turbulent flow effectively prevents ammonium sulfate crystal deposition and scaling on the tube walls.

  3. MVR Vapor Recompression & Evaporation: The wastewater is heated by recompressed steam in the heating tubes. Under vacuum conditions (-0.06 to -0.09 MPa), the water evaporates to generate secondary steam. The MVR compressor aspirates and compresses this secondary steam, increasing its temperature and pressure to become high-quality heating steam, which is recycled back to the heating chamber—eliminating the need for external fresh steam.

  4. Controlled Crystallization: As water evaporates, the ammonium sulfate concentration in the wastewater reaches supersaturation, and crystals begin to form in the large-volume crystallization chamber. The forced circulation ensures uniform crystal growth, preventing agglomeration and ensuring uniform crystal size.

  5. Solid-Liquid Separation & Recovery: The ammonium sulfate crystal-slurry mixture is continuously discharged from the evaporator and sent to a centrifuge or filter for solid-liquid separation. The solid ammonium sulfate crystals are dried and collected for reuse or sale, while the clarified mother liquor is recycled back to the evaporator for further concentration, realizing zero liquid discharge (ZLD).
